Quarterly CME dinner lecture series
Held at locations across the tri-state area, these hour long dinner lecture series are given by local experts and designed to provide practical updates for CME credit. Dinners typically occurs in February, May, August and November. Topics for the 2018 year will include syncope, tongue tie and other tethered oral tissues, and a sports medicine update.
This is a half or full day educational workshop for CME credit sponsored by the Cincinnati Pediatric Society on a yearly basis. These workshops are geared towards all members of the healthcare team with a preference for physician education. CPS members receive a discounted registration fee.
This year’s intensive “Adverse Childhood Experiences and Toxic Stress” will take place on Friday, April 20th at the American Red Cross Building in Norwood, Ohio. Experts from different fields (medicine, psychology, public health, and counseling) will discuss how children respond to difficult and traumatic experiences and what we can do to help them to overcome and thrive. This conference is intended for anyone who care for children–pediatricians, family physicians, nurse practitioners, psychologists, and social workers. Spring Awards Dinner

Senior Resident Sendoff
Together with the Cincinnati Children’s Alumni Association, we host an informal gathering in June with graduation third year residents over drinks and appetizers to promote networking and encourage new members to join our organization.
This year’s event will take place at the Mad Tree Brewery in Oakley on May 31st, 2018 at 6:30 PM.
Summer social event
Mark your calendar’s for Saturday, June 30th, 2018 for the second annual Cincinnati Pediatric Society FC Cincinnati game outing where FC Cincinnati will face the Ottawa Fury at Nippert Stadium. This lecture is given annually in the fall during Pediatric Grand Rounds in honor of Dr. Robert Lyon to acknowledge his 50 years of service to the pediatric community of Greater Cincinnati and his contributions to both teaching and research.
