Quarterly CME dinner lecture series
Held at locations across the tri-state area, these hour long dinner lecture series are given by local experts and designed to provide practical updates for CME credit. Dinners typically occurs in February, May, August and November. Topics for the 2017 year will include iron deficiency anemia, an ophthalmology update and sports medicine for dummies review.
This is a half or full day educational workshop for CME credit sponsored by the Cincinnati Pediatric Society on a yearly basis. These workshops are geared towards all members of the healthcare team with a preference for physician education. CPS members receive a discounted registration fee.
This year’s intensive, “Navigating our Future”, will be on Friday, April 21st 2017 at Sabin Auditorium and will be an interactive discussion surrounding the challenges of our new and evolving health care system. Spring Awards Dinner
This year’s Spring Awards dinner will be Sunday, April 30th,2017 at the Transept located just across from Washington Park in Over the Rhine. This year’s honorees will be Dr. Phil Lichtenstein of the Children’s Home for the community physician award and Dr. Kristen Dinkelaker of Pediatric Associates of Fairfield for the Manny Doyne teaching award.
Senior Resident Sendoff
Together with the Cincinnati Children’s Alumni Association, we host an informal gathering in June with graduation third year residents over drinks and appetizers to promote networking and encourage new members to join our organization.
This year’s event will be at Rhinegeist brewery in Over the Rhine on Monday, June 5th from 6-8 PM.
Summer social event
Mark your calendars for Saturday, June 10th, 2017 when CPS sponsors it’s first annual FC Cincinnati game outing, the “Queen City Cup” against the Charlotte Independence, at Nippert Stadium.

This lecture is given annually in the fall during Pediatric Grand Rounds in honor of Dr. Robert Lyon to acknowledge his 50 years of service to the pediatric community of Greater Cincinnati and his contributions to both teaching and research.
